Each board member is expected to take part in at least one committee.
Permanent Committees
Executive Board:Made up of Officers (President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Member-at-Large). Chair: Current President Goal:Act as oversite for the operations of the organization and provide leadership to the Board of Directors. Set board meeting agendas and supervise the Executive Director.
Finance Committee:Made up of Board Treasurer and volunteers (members do not have to be a part of the Board of Directors). Chair: Current Board Member Goal:Monitor and advise the Executive Director in managing the organization’s finances. Ensure that financial audits and accounting checks and balances are in place. Report to the Board of Directors on the financial health of the organization.
Pillar Oversite Committee: Made volunteers (chair should be, but members do not have to be a part of the Board of Directors). Chair: Current Board Member Goal:Ensure that programming and funding are consistent with the organization’s mission and vision.
Volunteer Engagement Committee:Made up of volunteers (chair should be, but members do not have to be a part of the Board of Directors). Chair: Current Board Member Goal:Ensure volunteer policies and procedures for recruitment, on-boarding, and engagement are consistent with the organization’s mission and vision.
Fundraising Committee:Made up of volunteers (chair should be, but members do not have to be a part of the Board of Directors). Chair: Current Board Member Goal:Ensure all fundraising events are executed professionally and effectively.
Ad Hoc Committees: (committees with a scope that is time sensitive and not on-going)
By-Laws and Strategic Plan Committee: Made up of volunteers (chair should be, but members do not have to be a part of the Board of Directors). Chair: Current Board Member Goal: Update the Foundation’s bylaws to reflect changes in the organization and the adoption of new non-profit regulations released by WA State in 2020. Finalize the 2025-2030 Strategic Plan and update the Foundations operational business plan.
